BOLIVIA III. TRAVEL ALTIPLANICO

This is the journey that I have come to the Bolivian altiplano. How long have you been? a month? seven?

Cholita “passing” coca leaves with impunity. For one euro you Mercadona bag full. If not for vice, is that I have three weeks between the 2.000 and 5.000 m. Preferably chewed with a catalyst to do more effect. I go every day “enfarlopaó”. But tranquis. I can leave whenever I want.

This is the man who made me breakfast in Sucre. Two glasses of mango or strawberry smoothie with milk 3 Bolivians (30 cts.). The cart carries a diesel generator to supply power to the mixer.

Bolivians as peaceful and parsimonious, are transformed to climb behind the wheel. De repente les entran las urgencias y se vuelven agresivos. The good thing is that they have very clear preferences rigorous circulation system. La prioridad la tiene siempre el camión. Luego el autobús, el coche, la moto y por ultimo los peatones.
Since no one pays attention to crosswalks, have directly Sucre zebras, to see if they work. At least people laugh. Certainly, is a very dangerous. They said they have already hit a few.
The Bolivian dishes, have a constant composition of meat with potatoes and / or vegetables, and a name that each region varies. Tripe, pique macho…. Carnivores have to see what they are in South America!
And back with business collection most pious names. There are:

No waste the financial- credit unification house “JOHN BOSCO”. If you ever ride a puti-club in Bolivia will be called “Whiskeria MARIA MAGDALENA”. O “ARE DUST AND to dust”… I think I could mount a few…
And now I'm going with one of the worst experiences of my life. And eye, from someone who has worked 18 years in banking and has suffered ureteral endoscopy.
MINES TOUR POTOSÍ.
In Potosi are the largest silver mines were found Spanish, such that “chingaban” nonstop to South America and took all the gold. The city is the highest in the world, is about 4300 m. It is estimated that here have died some 8 million Indians and black slaves by the dire conditions in which you work, the lack of oxygen and silicon sulfate inhalation. And there we went to my German friends, July, Marc, Julian and two Americans.
“Uncle” is a demon worshipers miners, say they will decide to give away good silver veins or against landslides there when angry. For if there alg'un clueless, Watch where you sit!
Besand down to lto Output.
The tour is very interesting, if you do not have claustrophobia or from altitude sickness, which is what happened to me. When we had descended 150 I started to feel dizzy meters long… But I recommend everyone visit!

With Angels, Adrian and eating in a market Briggitte. It is customary in these parts that if no free tables are shared. |As'i had the good fortune of sharing food and conversaci'on with these miners.

In the next post I will talk about the number of travelers and locals I've met. Since I run this trip, go penita!
