At the time ended up being a vital dilemma could not ignore; was too afraid to risk my career, ingresos.El the source of my world was a huge round stone, full of amazing places of those who had heard about but had never visited; filled with people who think and live in very different ways, with such different customs… But I, for while, lived again and again the same day in the bank, my staff “Groundhog Day”. Nothing new I contributed the months and years that passed. In fact time went faster and faster, while just no memories.
If you only live once was a sin not to do what he wanted.
Not sure if it's true that the universe conspires to do what you should do in life. The truth is that in a short time coincided all, breakup with girlfriend, changes in the office bad, possibility to rent my house and other signals, telling me: Skip!
And jumped. And out of the boss's office to ask my leave, all my fears disappeared and I felt happier than ever.
From Thailand to the Way through the Siberian
Since then I have been in 22 countries, in a 35 ocasiones.Por through NGOs “Realising” Sophie worked as a teacher in, a village in northern Cambodia, living with a local family as one, without electricity, or water… only that we drew from the well. There I left good friends and lovely children.
After I contacted the internet with four other Spanish. Together we made an epic journey, the Siberian, with several stops along Russia, Mongolia and China.
From Beijing followed by train and bus to Vang Vieng, in Laos. There I joined work with “Dentists unlimited”, were 16 volunteers, Most dentists, into a truck that rode from town to town our mobile clinic. Teeth arrange hundreds of Laotians, My work there was the receptionist.
For more than two months France crossed on foot walking the Camino de Santiago. Walking day by day and sleeping in shelters met extraordinary people, I had fun and felt the freedom not need more than what fits in a backpack to be happy.
So I bought a plane ticket package to turn the world. For six months I traveled with my backpack for countries like the U.S., Jamaica, Costa Rica, Japan, Tailandia, India, Finland, Israel, Egypt… I also worked with an NGO in Vietnam, an organic farm.
Now my leave is over, certainly the two most intense years of my life. If my life were a novel my last six years in office just one couple of chapters would, and would leave of absence 20.
Experiences gained
Somehow or other I returned to the bank and I have resumed my “Groundhog Day” particular. Perhaps it was this trip, the return home, the one I was shocked. Back to my life being another. What have I gained with this? Gone are a lot of people who passed through my life and made me change. And hundreds of stories to remember. Now I speak a little language, and I have all new reviews on topics before I even raised.
Now I, for example, that life is a blank canvas that we have to paint, many lives as possible and there is no need to stay with the first that comes. And of course! Are also my blogs, travel diaries for two years were my creative column and my link with friends.
